M&T Bank is offering a cash bonus for opening a checking account available nationwide.
There are three separate bonuses in this offer: one for opening a checking account and activating direct deposit (up to a $150 bonus), and another for adding overdraft ($25 bonus) and a third for adding bill pay ($25 bonus).
How to Get the Checking Account Cash Bonus (Up to $150)
Open one of these three checking accounts . Each account gets a different bonus:
Power Checking: $200 cash (must maintain a minimum balance of 50k to avoid a $24 mo fee)
M&T Select Checking: $150 cash (must maintain a minimum balance of $5k to avoid a $14 monthly service fee)
MyChoice Checking: $100 cash (must maintain a minimum balance of $500 or make 10 debit card purchases a month to avoid a $6.95 monthly service fee)
How to Get the Overdraft and Bill Pay Bonuses (Up to $50)
If you know you aren’t going to be able to avoid the monthly fees on the checking accounts listed above, you may want to open the M&T Totally Free Checking account instead. You will still be able to get $25 for activating overdraft and another $25 for bill pay.
There is no fee if you go into overdraft for less than $10 but any amount over that triggers a $37 fee per transaction.
After you sign up for online banking and bill pay, you must make at least 3 payments with Bill Pay by the end of the next month after you opened your account.
