Like most businesses, I’m always searching for a way to reduce my fixed monthly costs. During an audit, I noticed I was paying more than I wanted for hosting.
From past experiences I knew I would get more personalized customer service if I chose a smaller company.
I found ScalaHosting.com (which only hosts 18,000 websites compared to over 2 million hosted by HostGator). The pricing at ScalaHosting.com saved me over $20 per month.
The big surprise came when I first visited my site on the new hosting and it literally popped onto the screen – the speed was noticeably faster. This was strange because the server specs of my previous host LiquidWeb were more impressive than my ScalaHosting server.
Reasons ScalaHosting is Well Above Average
- Customer service – at first I was hesitant to switch to Scala because they only offer Live Chat or Support Tickets and they don’t offer phone support. However, I soon learned that their Chat support is ALWAYS available night and day and it is a very convenient and in-obtrusive way to get help. I now know all the Support staff by name and it makes me feel more comfortable when asking for help and it makes Scala more reliable in my eyes. Now I prefer Live Chat over phone support because I don’t have to wait for someone to answer the phone and I don’t have to give my account password over the phone.
- ScalaHosting HAS INTEGRITY! They do not overload their servers while almost every other webhost in the country does.
- Your site will load faster and uptime will be better because they host your site on four hard drives in RAID10 format.
- Uptime – ScalaHosting.com has had a continuous uptime for 1,132 days according to WebHostingStuff.com/uptime/ScalaHosting.html.
- Tech Savvy – All of ScalaHosting.com’s staff are highly qualified with a minimum of 3 years in web hosting. I have never asked them a question they couldn’t answer well.
ScalaHosting.com’s plans range from $2.95 a month for shared hosting to $319 a month for a beefy dedicated server.
Go check out ScalaHosting.com for yourself and chances are you won’t regret it if you get a new account and/or switch from your current host.
